Giro d’Italia 2009: from Venice to Rome

Giro d’Italia 2009…an event like this makes million of fans dreaming: starting from Venice the 9th January to arrive the 31st of May to Coliseum.
Giro d’Italia, a century of great cycling…from Ganna to Girardengo, from Binda to Bartali, from Coppi to Magni and then Gimondi, Motta, Taccone, Baronchelli, Saronni, Merckx, Bitossi, Hinault, Indurain, Pantani, Bugno and all the other historical winners.
Hotel Traiano is pleased to remind all those who love the Giro d’Italia 2009 which will end in Rome at the Colosseum, a minute walk away.
There will be 21 laps with start from Venice and with a cronoprologo the 9th of May (Mestre/Venice); then Trieste, Grado, Padua and Dolomites.
The sixth lap reaches Innsbruck to come back to Lombardy. The 8th lap arrives to Como to reach Turin and the 10th is very interesting: Cuneo/Sestriere… mythical mountain tops for a great centenary. The 18th of May there will be a day of rest and then the 11th lap will be performed in Genoa with a individual chronometer to go to Versilia passing through Lerici, , Florence/Bologna and to arrive to Rimini where is planned a bend: the participating will direct towards the South of Italy through Marche, Chieti, Sulmona and then Benevento, Avellino and Naples. From Naples the Giro ‘Italia 2009 will continue towards Anagni and it will conclude in Rome the 31st of May to Colseum.
