The Campisi family business began back in 1854, and since then we have continued the ancient art of manually processing and preserving selected fresh fish from the Jonio and Mediterranean seas. Our products include hook-and-line fished Tuna, Swordfish, Grouper, Amberjack, Anchovies, Sardines… and a wide range of vegetable products, such as the p.g.i. Pachino cherry tomato in all its possible variations. Bottarga (salad roe), Suppizzata (tuna sausages) and Mosciame (cured tuna fillet), the classical specialities of the Sicilian seaside cuisine, originate from an ancient food- preserving tradition which has reached this day and age thanks to the historical tuna fishing craft, with roots in remote epochs. The great care taken throughout the manufacturing processes guarantees the maximum safety and authenticity standards of our food products.

Mecenate Palace Hotel - Roma Basilica di Santa Maria MaggioreThe Mecenate Palace Hotel is happy to remind you the High Mass in Immaculate Conception’s honour at the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica…..a moment projecting us into a deep inner silence and conducting in a rarefied spirituality  in which we can find the Christ Mother holy chant and man chant for Her.

The History tells that in ancient time was possible to hear Mass during the which people could hear a long musical accompaniment to the liturgy made by several inns, motets, antiphons and devotional prayers….. today also is very evocative to hear a musical event for a Mass.

26th November 2008 at 9,00pm Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica will give hospitality to a long night of Music for Chant in Immaculate Conception’s honour, imaged and directed by Peter Latona, the Chapel Master at the USA National Basilica.

During this musical event will be performed famous chants directly coming from the high Italian polyphonic school, Marenzio, Monteverdi, de Victoria and Ugolini together with traditional melodies linked to particular churches or worship places. The event will arrive to perform some examples of sacred chants of XX century and some chants of two contemporary and world appreciated composers….a hymn for Christ Mother and ten voices in double chorus composed by the British John Taverner in the 1985 and the Magnificat of Arvo Pärt of 1989.
